The Comcast Center is the ultimate place to visit during the Holiday season in Philadelphia. The tallest building in the city, it’s also the tallest “green” building in the country, featuring a number of important eco-friendly technologies.
Among other things, during December you can see the Comcast Experience HD Video Wall. This is a 2,000 square foot LED screen with resolution five times that of any HD television. Here you can view the Comcast Holiday Spectacular, which is a wonderful amazing, 15-minute showcase of holiday music, ice skaters and even features Santa Claus, himself!
The building also features a public plaza with a gorgeous fountain display, a dramatic eight-story "Winter Garden" and an energy-saving "glass curtain" that wraps around the Comcast Center, allowing for a 360 degree view of Philadelphia's urban landscape.
While you’re at the Comcast Center, you can visit the vast selection of restaurants, including more than 24,000 square feet of eateries as well as 20 storefronts.
The Comcast Center truly is architectural history in the making. Make sure you see it today.

Why not take a day off from driving your Toyota around Philadelphia this year and watch, or participate, in the Philadelphia Marathon?
The Philadelphia Marathon is one of the most notable historic foot races in the entire country. The marathon includes mostly flat terrain, and goes right past some of Philadelphia’s best known and most well-loved landmarks.
The Philadelphia Marathon starts at Eakins Oval, at the fitness and sports expos. Here, you can pick up your running gear and register for the race.
Along the way of the Philadelphia Marathon, you can see the Liberty Bell, the house of Besty Ross, as well as Independence Hall. The marathon runs through the quaint streets of the old city, right on the Delaware river. It ends near the Fairmount Water Works, which has recently been restored.
The Philadelphia Marathon has something for everyone. Even the kids can join in the Verizon Kids Fun Run. This is a series of races for kids aged 4 to 12, and is designed to be non-competitive. There are prizes for participants, and it’s a great way to introduce your youngster to the sport of running.
Even if you’re just watching the race, there’s plenty to see. There are a number of food and music “Express Zones” along the route. At the end of the race, there is plenty to do, too, including enjoying an evening out for a gourmet meal, or just listening to some live music.
No matter whether you're a spectator or a participant, there's no better place to take your Toyota this November than to the Philadelphia Marathon.
If you’re looking for something different to do this fall in Pennsylvania, load up your family in the Toyota and take a trip to the Eastern State Penitentiary. Located at 22nd and Fairmount in the Art Museum area, this historical setting is especially interesting during the month of October.
Eastern State Penitentiary was once the standard for prison reform. It features gothic architecture, and had running water and central heat before many other buildings in the country. The experiment was designed to reform criminals through isolation, and eventually became a model for prisons all over the world. It is estimated that as many as 300 prisons in the world use the “wagon wheel” floor plan pioneered by Eastern State.
Famous criminals Willie Sutton and Al Capone both spent time at the Eastern State Pen.
Fall is a great time to visit Eastern State Penitentiary because of its amazing Halloween attraction. Terror Behind the Walls is a truly thrilling attraction, and occurs every year at the Eastern State Penitentiary. This event is one of the top 5 haunted attractions in the United States, and is in it’s 17th year. There are five separate haunted houses in the complex, spread over 11 acres. The attraction is high on startle and low on gore, and features special effects, animatronic creatures, digital sound and theatrical lighting.
If you’d rather, you can take a tour of the Penitentiary. It features a restored cell as it would have been during the 19th century, as well as cellblocks, and even death row. Eastern State Penitentiary was, at one time, the most expensive building in the United States. The penitentiary was abandoned in 1971 after it had been in use for 142 years, and is now a National Historic Landmark.
